Delineating Marks: Tony Wise MFA Thesis Exhibition

My research is exploring arbitrary delineations of time that we create for ourselves. I am creating visual rhythms in clay that represent divisions of time in non-traditional formats. Producing this work forces me to question patterns we develop throughout our lives. It indexes the growth of our identities. As our identity is redefined through personal growth, what does that history of information look like? And furthermore, are we always bound to it.

Delineating Marks is Tony Wise's Thesis Exhibition. It opened December 1 of 2017 at the Texas Tech University School of Art Satellite Gallery. The completion of his MFA Thesis Exhibition is the final requirement for his degree in the Master of Fine Art program at the Texas Tech University School of Art.
